DESIGN - BUILD PROCESS

STEP 1: CHOOSE A PLAN or CUSTOM DESIGN A PLAN

Explore the pre-plans available in the Shop tab. Choose a plan that fits your needs and budget, or work with one of our ADU Designers to find a custom fit for you. Note your bedroom and bathroom needs. Consider the size you may want. Note: All pre-plans have a starting build price included. All plans are customizable, and pricing can be tailored to fit your project. Custom plans will be priced per project with your ADU Designer.

STEP 2: CHOOSE FINISH TYPE

At your In-person consultation your designer will begin building your plan. A pre-plan layout can be chosen, or a custom plan will be generated. Once a plan layout is confirmed, we will begin customizing the finishes. You will be able to customize any plan to suit your specific needs and reach your price point desired. A final plan proposal and price will be generated for your approval.

STEP 3: CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS & SUBMITTALS

Once agreement is executed we will process and submit construction documents to the jurisdiction in charge (City or County). The construction documents include mechanical and structural engineering. Our team handles all the submittals as part of the entire project, unless otherwise agreed upon.

STEP 4: BUILDING THE ADU

This is where the preparation really shines, and you will see your project come to life. Normally, your project can be completed within 4-6 months, depending on the size and the customization features of the project, with very few project taking up to 9 months.
